PostHeaderIcon Team USA Leads Medal Count

The first weekend in Vancouver is in the books and Team USA has a narrow Medal Count lead over Team Germany with 6 overall medals compared to Germany's 4. France and Canada are tied with 3 including Canada's first ever Gold Medal when hosting the games.

Team USA finished second overall in 2006 at Torin with 25 medals and 34 in 2002 when the Games were hosted at home in Salt Lake City. At the end of the weekend 14 nations have won medals at Vancouver despite several events such as skiing being postponed.
