Olympics 2010 Vancouver Opening CeremoniesThe 2010 Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver, British Columbia, are officially open after last nights beautiful Opening Ceremonies. 2,600 athletes from 82 countries entered the BC Place Arena for the first ever indoor Opening Ceremonies.

Dancer and music help performers define Canada for the world highligted by a moving version of ‘Hallelujah’ by KD Lang.

The biggest question of the night was who would like the Olympic flame. Canadian sports heroes Wayne Gretzky, skier Nancy Greene, basketball All-Star Steve Nash and speed skater Catriona Le May Doan joined together to light the Olympic cauldron. However, a small glitch [the only one of the night] prevented 4 legs of the cauldron used to hold the flame from rising from the floor. With a little effort, 3 of the legs worked and the flame was ignited.
